After managing the service department of Applied Computer Technologies for 4 years, Matt founded Vertisys Corp in 1992, expanding the business to over 20 employees in 2014. Matt studied music at Jacksonville State University, and currently holds certifications for Microsoft, HP, Dell and Autonomy. Matt’s expertise revolves around Enterprise Content Management (ECM), with over 20 years experience in that arena, and leverages that knowledge to create unique solutions for his clients.
Matt serves in the financial institution audit practice of the firm and also is the managing partner of IS Audits and Consulting, LLC, a subsidiary which performs information systems audits, penetration testing (ethical hacking), and vulnerability assessment services for financial institutions and various other industries. In addition to client service, he spends time performing security research, writing articles and speaking on information security and hacking techniques, and also contributes to the open source security community through the development and sharing of security assessment tools.
Mark began his career in finance and accounting, most notably serving as controller for the North American Cocoa Processing division of ED&F Man and as controller for the Specialty Products division of Savannah Foods. He then transitioned into the technology field, working as program manager and client manager for the BSS/OSS division of VeriSign, Convergys and NetCracker Technologies. In 2015, Mark became CFP of Trace Staffing Solutions and general manager of Trace Backoffice Solutions where he led the financial operation and closing activities during the sale of Trace Staffing to a capital group. In 2017, he and a partner formed Corbak Office Technology Solutions which delivered HR and Payroll, VoIP, and IT services to the Savannah and Low Country community. Mark started with Vertisys in 2021 when they acquired Corbak.
Ann began her career at Applied Computer Technologies/PC Warehouse. Employed at first as a courier, Ann quickly worked her way into the accounting department and then into a management position. When Vertisys was founded in 1992, Ann accepted new owner Matt Baldwin’s offer to become its Controller, and has held that position ever since. Ann oversees all aspects of Vertisys Corp Accounting Department, as well as coordinating the activities of the Vertisys Technical Support team.
Guy is the IT Manager for the Firm and part of the Firm’s Administration Team. He has been a member of the Firm since July 2016. Guy, along with his team, provides IT support to all of the Firm’s offices. Part of this includes server maintenance, office connectivity, strategic planning, and help desk support. Previous to working for TJS Deemer Dana, Guy worked for the City of Dublin as the Technical Analyst for over 14 years.
Brandon most recently worked for Think IT Solutions, a small IT consulting firm, as a Network Engineer. He has 10 years of experience overseeing the installation, configuration and maintenance of network information systems. Brandon studied Information Systems at Chattahoochee Technical College. Brandon is responsible for assisting clients with the installation of new hardware, systems, and software for networks. He installs, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices.
Holly is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia. She’s received a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Certificate of Computing. She is focused on providing premier customer service and supporting each customer’s need. Being a female in a male-dominated field, she is very excited to work with Vertisys as one of their first female technicians. Outside of work Holly is either gaming or taking care of her dog Pigaloo.
Debra Cohen began her sales career selling audio-visual equipment and computer graphics solutions. For the last 28 years she has been selling IT solutions, 21 of which have been for Vertisys Corp. As an Account Executive, Debra is responsible for managing current client relationships and developing new ones. These responsibilities include researching and recommending effective IT solutions for each individual client environment, quoting and purchasing IT equipment and software, maintaining and developing vendor relationships, assisting in the planning and coordination of project implementation and most importantly, general customer service.
Jack has enjoyed consistent success growing sales revenue and developing relationships in technology, software, and professional services. With over 10 years sales experience in IT, Jack looks to continue the growth at Vertisys as Sales Director focused on new client acquisition. Jack enjoys meeting people, solving business problems, and managing company targets. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, an avid sports fan and golfer.
Christy began her career at Vertisys in 2002, performing various duties as she continued her education, ultimately earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Kennesaw State University. Christy started in the accounting department at Vertisys, and currently also works as a Sales Assistant. In addition to those duties, Christy also acts as a Special Assistant to Matt Baldwin, the President of Vertisys, responsible for the completion of special projects, as assigned by Matt.
Chelsea was born and raised in Panama City, Florida. In 2015 she moved to the Atlanta area for new opportunities. Chelsea is the assistant to the company controller. She also assists in Accounting, Sales and Service. Prior to joining Vertisys, she was in the Banking Industry for almost 6 years as a Branch Service leader, which has given her a strong urgency for customer service.
Grant is an IT Technician for the Firm and part of the Firm’s Administration Team. He has been a member of the Firm since October 2016. Grant, along with the IT Team, provides IT support and security training for all office locations. Part of this includes office connectivity, help desk support, and training on IT security best practices. Previous to working for TJS Deemer Dana, Grant worked as an IT contractor for the Georgia Technology School of Mechanical Engineering and the Georgia Technology Research Institute for 2 years.
Jarrett came to Vertisys in 2022 taking on the role of office and sales assistant. He was born and raised in Cartersville, Georgia. Jarrett stepped into the IT world in 2020 after graduating from MyComputerCareer. He enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with friends and family, and traveling.
Adam started in IT 11 years ago and has worked for several MSPs throughout Atlanta. His most recent position was a senior engineer, supporting various healthcare facilities such as Urgent Care Clinics, Radiation Oncology, Pediatric, OBGYN and Dental offices throughout the US. The majority of his experiences are in server infrastructure, project management, and security including specialties such as HIPPA and Government Security Standards. Adam lives for IT, and it is an integral part of his life both professionally and recreationally. His goal is to take the knowledge and skills he has been blessed with and turn around to help clients use their technology as a platform for their skills, not an anchor to hold them back.
Jerry worked as the Service Coordinator and Procurement Agent for a local IT integrator prior to joining Vertisys in 1999. He has over 20 years of Network Administration and IT consulting experience. Jerry provides hardware and software support in both the workstation and server environment. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and Black Hawk College. He also holds certifications in Project Management for IS/IT Professional and Mastering Project Management from Villanova University. “It is incumbent upon us all at Vertisys to seize any and all opportunities entrusted to us by our clients to provide them with unsurpassed service with integrity”.
Jason holds a degree from Bryant and Stratton College in Syracuse, NY with a major in Information Technology. He most recently worked as an IT Manager for Balfour Beatty Construction, joining Vertisys in 2013. Jason provides a wide range of both hardware and software support and works with both desktop and server level issues. With 13 years of IT experience, he is proficient at providing outstanding customer support to Vertisys clients
Prior to joining the Vertisys team, Matt spent five years at Wandering WiFi, a division of AirWatch, with the last two of those years as the lead technician for over 2,000 WiFi hotspots throughout the US and Canada utilizing a blend of HP, SonicWALL, Cisco and other technologies. At Vertisys, Matt is focused primarily on data security, business continuity, and disaster recovery, in addition to handling any technical issues that come his way. Matt studied English at Kennesaw State University.
Terry joins the Vertisys team after spending the last several years in the broadcast media industry, working for a local television station. He was responsible for maintaining the systems the distributed the channel to cable providers. At Vertisys, Terry is focusing on ensuring customers have daily server backups, as well as keeping workstations and server current on Windows patches and anti-virus. He also provides general support for all Vertisys customers.
Mike most recently worked as the Helpdesk Supervisor for Cobb EMC. He has over 10 years of experience with Hardware/Software support and Network Administration. He served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps as an Information Specialist . Mike received his certification from the Marine Corps Communications and Electronics School in 29 Palms, California.
Will has been employed in the IT field for 2 years working for an MSP specializing in healthcare facilities, including dental, optometry, and general care. He has experience working with medical software such as Aprima, Athena, Dentrix, Dexis, E-clinical Works, and Greenway. He has been trained in HIPPA regulations and security. Much of his experience is in Wi-Fi networks and general troubleshooting. He has managed a Wi-Fi client base of over 150+ sites and is certified with Ubiquiti wireless networks. At Vertisys he focuses on assisting with general support issues and Wi-Fi related issues. He is committed to customer service and is always interested in learning about new technologies.
Winston is a 2018 graduate from Georgia Southern’s CSIT College. He was transferred to Vertisys in April 2020 after working as a Information Technology Technician for TJS Deemer Dana LLP. With a history of supporting businesses in the health, retail, and accounting industries, Winston is committed to providing an excellent and adaptable customer service experience.
Andres started his career in Information Technology with facilitating the conversion of medical files to digital formats for medical practices. Shortly after that he wanted to learn the provider side of things and worked for an ISP. As the Commercial Team Lead, he ensured connectivity to hundreds of customers networks and repaired issues when they arose. Supporting customers in a broad range of business types taught him solutions to be tailored to that specific customer.
Devoted husband and father of two, Zach graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems. He considers himself an IT Generalist, knowing a good bit about a wide variety of technology thanks in large part to the length and diversity of his career over the past ~20 years in both corporate IT and MSP roles. He really enjoys the opportunities for learning and growth that MSPs provide and is really looking forward to taking his skills to the next level with the team at Vertisys. He previously worked with a MSP which specializes in heathcare clientele where he handled general, top-to-bottom support for over 7 years. Nice, almost to a fault, excellent customer service and satisfaction come naturally for him, and he was once told that he could “nice” problem-machines back to life! Outside of work, Zach’s free time is mostly spent with his kids, or he’s either studying, gaming, or playing disc-golf with friends.
Christopher received his certification in 2018 from MyComputerCareer. He has served as a tutor to others looking to get IT certifications. Christopher moved to Atlanta in 2020 looking for a better opportunity. He has also worked as a Trainer and Technician for Cherokee county as a tech in the 2020 Election. He is a self-proclaimed nerd. Computers, Anime and sports are things he enjoys in his spare time.
Kanita is a Georgia Southern University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. With several years of experience working in IT, she has a background of supporting research facilities, healthcare, and government entities. Kanita strives to provide excellent customer service and to be a beacon of kindness. She enjoys music, spending quality time with her loved ones, and trying new foods.
Myshon was born and raised in Chicago, IL. After serving four years with United States Marine Corps, he moved to Georgia in 2016. He has developed his customer service and troubleshooting skills working at The Home Depot corporate office.
Spencer joined Vertisys in December 2021. He was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia and is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He started his career at Enterprise where he learned to provide excellent customer service skills while contributing to increased performance and sales metrics. Deciding to pursue his interest in computers, he enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve as a Cyber Systems Operator and obtained his Security+ certification. He is currently serving as a System Administrator for his unit, providing support to the Air Force Network and keeping it safe from outside intrusion. In his spare time Spencer enjoys playing soccer, game nights with friends, and reading.
Drew was born in Prince William County VA, and raised in Kailua HI. After serving in the USMC for 8 years, Drew transitioned into the IT Field and started out as a “Helpdesk specialist” at Bridgestone Golf Located in Covington GA. Upon entering the IT Field, Drew has been in various positions including but not limited to: Project engineer, Project manager, Helpdesk manager, Tier 1- 2 Helpdesk, and most recently a Tier 2 NOC Analyst at Sagenet. His hobbies include video games, camping, and exercise. Drew is currently pursuing a security certificate for Cisco (CBROPS)
After receiving a BBA in Risk Management at the University of Georgia, Luke began his career in information technology in 2007. He has amassed 15+ years of experience in all areas of IT including servers, enterprise networking, client deployments, VoIP, and more. Luke has also been a lifelong musician, playing piano/keyboards in various rock/funk groups in Athens and Dublin, GA. When he has down time, Luke enjoys working outside and spending time with his wife and two children.
Alisa is originally from Brooklyn, New York and moved to Marietta in 2013. She’s always played an active role in the community through volunteering at food pantries, working with at risk youth, and helping her aunt as an assistant at the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation. After moving to Georgia, Alisa decided to embrace her love of computers and is majoring in Information Technology at Kennesaw State University. Alisa hopes to one day have career as a system administrator. For now, she spends most of her time experimenting with code, reading about mechanical keyboards, and playing video games.
Philip has been in the technology sector for 25+ years. Having held positions anywhere from High Tech Crime Investigator (Computer Forensics), to Implementation Coordinator, to Information Technology Director. He has worked with county government, public safety software entities, and now with Vertisys. His current role is overseeing the Information Technology for a private school in Savannah, Georgia.
Nate is working in the Savannah office as an IT Support Analyst. He has been working in the IT field for the past 8 years. Nate attended Liberty University and holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science. Despite his primary focus being the operation and management of school data systems, he is never one to shy away from a new challenge. Nate enjoys being outside, music, and movies.
Dylan started in IT 7 years ago. Before joining the Vertisys team, he worked for Optim Healthcare for 5 years where he supported an orthopedic surgery center/hopsital as well as 35 remote orthopedic clinics. Dylan’s most recent position was an IT specialist at Corbak Office Technology Solutions where he supported various types of business from car dealerships to doctor’s offices. He is immersed in IT and spends portions of his recreational time also learning and using IT.
